Hannah's 18 Months!!!

 My Sweet Pea,
You make my heart happy! You have the sweetest spirit and yet you run wild! You love to love on people and I love that about you! I love how you wrap your arm around my neck to pull me in super close and how you kiss me when I'm asleep in the mornings. I love how you smile at me in those random moments and how you run just to give me a kiss! I am so proud of how fearless and brave you are. You bring such joy to my life! You have a heart of gold and I have no doubt that God is going to use you for GREAT things!

Love,
Mommy

BIRTH
A whole lot of sleep and rest for mommy, daddy and baby.

Oh my goodness. Where has the time gone?

WARNING || TONS of adorable pictures!!!

On April 4th, 2013 at 5:25 p.m. I gave birth to this beautiful little girl and we named her Hannah Emerson. I have always felt led to pray that my first daughter would be strong, brave, fearless, and sure-footed with her relationship with Christ so when I saw that the name Emerson meant brave and powerful, it really hit home and I knew that name was for her!

Anyone who knows Hannah would tell you to be careful when naming your children! Hannah is the most brave, fearless, strong-willed, powerful, aggressive, and passionate toddler! Nothing scares her, and I mean nothing.

1 MONTH
Those eyes! She is so curious!

She grew so quickly during her first month!

2 MONTHS
Chubby rolls and learning to smile!

3 MONTHS
Gnawing on everything. Lifting her head up. Smiling and trying to laugh. Chunky monkey!
First swim.

4 MONTHS
Learning to sit up by herself. She has always been very motivated and determined! So freaking chunky! I almost couldn't fit her in that frog onsie because her thighs were too thick!

5 MONTHS
First plane flight. Lots of new facial expressions...too many to post. Sitting up really well. Seriously peppy personality starting to show.

6 MONTHS
Same determined baby. First Halloween (mine too). She tried really hard and for a long time to pick up the bigger pumpkin.

7 MONTHS
Standing and trying hard to walk (not successful just yet). First Thanksgiving.

8 MONTHS
First Christmas. Walking with help. I "made an awesome" Christmas tutu for her...haha!

9 MONTHS
Walking without help!!! Big personality! Playful and sneaky! Snow in Georgia!

10 MONTHS
Learning how to be silly. Finally eating some real food. Still chunky. Teeth!

11 MONTHS
Trouble maker! Won't hold still for nothing! Very social! Loves her cousin! Finally getting some hair on her head.

12 MONTHS
First Birthday party!!!

13 MONTHS
We sore she was already a toddler by this point and no longer our baby. She is so smart and quick-to-react. Independent.

14 MONTHS
Loves to learn---reading and puzzles. Seriously fearless. More teeth. Mommy love!

15 MONTHS
Hannah's first Fourth of July fireworks! She loves to give hugs. New love for bubble baths.

16 MONTHS
We love going to the park! Running. Climbing.

17 MONTHS
Lots of lazy messy days because mommy's "morning" sickness.
So stinkin' smart! She knows the names of every part on her body (including things like teeth, hair, arms, fingers, etc). Can say up to (and probably more than) forty words and phrases already!
Loooves "Let it Go" from Frozen.

...and finally...

18 MONTHS!!!
She loves cats. She can run like nobody's business. She likes to play in the cupboards. So smiley. She's going through a shy phase, but she has been unbelievably sweet and gentle recently. Favorite phrase right now is "no mommy, no".

I thank God for you daily!

Quick & Easy Lunch for the Hubby

This is so easy. You'll see the ingredients and know exactly what to do, but did you ever think to pop them in the freezer???

What You Need:

Bread
Sandwich Meat
Cheese
Sandwich Bags

I make ham and cheese sandwiches all the time for Chris but I decided to pick out some different meats and cheeses. This time I did cajun chicken, cracked pepper turkey, swiss cheese and colby jack cheese.

Any suggestions as to how to do it next time???

DIY: Lamp Revamp

The only products I used: a sharpie and some acrylic paint I had on hand. Talk about cheap!

Okay, so, my parents gave me this lamp. I loooved the body and found the curves and details to be quite beautiful. However, I hated the lamp shade and the color bronze just wouldn't go with anything I have. So I decided I to paint the body and either find a new lamp shade or somehow, try revamp it.

I saw an awesome diy on Pinterest recently that showed a lamp shade in which they wrote on the lamp shade with a sharpie.

Yay! I might like sharpie crafts a bit too much, so that is totally what I did!

This lamp shade is suede. Blech! I figured if this didn't turn out good, I was going to get a new lamp shade anyway. I chose to write Psalm 139 on it and when I realized that I had more room I wrote Psalm 100 down as well.

I painted the lamp body white with acrylic paint I had on hand. I left brush strokes that are slightly visible simply because I like that look. I don't always like a neat painting job.

After writing on it.
Two products: Sharpie and Acrylic paint...wow
How do you think it turned out? I really like it!

30+ Ways to Tell if You're a Mom

Okay you guys. Being honest, some days I just like reading some mom humor! Is anyone else like that? I ran across this gem as I was on Facebook the other day and I just DIED laughing!!! So I thought I would share some mom funnies today!

Thanks to some awesome mommy friends of mine, I have a huge list for you!!!

You know you're a mom when...

1. You say things like "don't lick the cat!" on a normal basis.
2. You have everything in your purse you could possibly imagine...except money.
3. You can walk in the door coming home from work and have already done 34 things in only four minutes.

4. You regularly have to move things that are climbable so that no one swan dives onto the ground.
5. You have to check the toilet for foreign objects before using it.
6. You find yourself humming nursery rhymes or singalongs instead of the latest music.

7. You have Disney princess or spider-man decor.
8. You are a cheerleader for bowel movements.
9. You pick other people's noses.

10. You're so tired you let your children make a mess with food, simply because you know they'll still eat it.
11. You are used to using your spit to clean things.
12. You're whole life is planned around eating what, when, and how.

13. Grocery shopping alone sounds like a vacation.
14. It's perfectly normal to carry someone else's underwear in your purse.
15. You forget to close the bathroom door at friend's houses because, what is privacy?

16. You can hear a baby's cry from across the store.
17. It's instinct to use someone's clothes to wipe boogers.
18. You're house could rival a local play cafe in toy volume.

19. You don't panic at mysterious fluids on your bed, but instead, lay a towel down and fall back asleep.
20. You are no longer afraid of being the next person in the house to get sick.
21. It doesn't even phase you that you might have puke, poop, pee, snot and throw up all over your clothes. (Lord knows I went through that phase!)

22. You watch the same movie at least five times a day.
23. You have to stay up late just to have some alone time.
24. Your bed is turned into a trampoline first thing in the morning.

25. You take it personally when a stranger doesn't wave back at your child.
26. You are used to getting poop on your hands.
27.  At least once every other week you fall asleep wherever you're at, no matter what position you're in.

28. Eating a complete meal by yourself is like heaven.
29. You know how to bake and cook while people play with your legs.
30. You've just cleaned an entire room and only two seconds later, it's already completely destroyed.

Hahaha! I died laughing when I read these!
How about you???
Can you relate to any of these? Do you have anymore to add to this list?

For reals, yo.
