So, with baby number two on the way, I am ready to finally paint and
finish the kids' room! I've been thinking about it for months! They will be sharing a bedroom as soon as Charlotte is ready to move into her crib!
I have seriously struggled with WHAT exactly I want their room to look like. I like the millions of ideas I've seen but I think after tons of thought, research and conversation with the hubby, we've finally made a decision! YAY!!!
I love so many of the soft simple nurseries with pastel shades but Chris keeps reminding me that I like BRIGHT COLORS!
Here are my favorite nurseries I have seen in my search of ideas.
I love the grey walls, the bright blues, greens, pinks, and yellows!
I love the polk-a-dots and the bold patterns!
I love the white furniture and the bright colored furniture!
We've definitely decided that we are going to paint the walls grey. Possibly a medium gray.
We've also decided on the colors PINK, BLUE and GREEN for her room. I'm so excited!!!
I've spent this weekend planning the layout of their room. Who knew
putting a baby and a toddler in the same room would take up so much space! Haha...
As you can see, we've definitely got some work to do if we want to have grey walls, white furniture, white doors and trim! The colors I plan on adding in slowly by painting some cheap picture frames, making pillows, and painting some canvases!
I would love it if you have any other ideas for me on how to make this little toddler room/nursery more cozy and put together! Do you have any organizing tips for me? Do you have any painting tips you could share with me?
Julia's room is grey right now (painted it before we moved in!) with white furniture and touches of pink everywhere, and I love it! I need to make a layout like you did, though, because I have ZERO idea where I'm going to fit her toddler bed into the mix.
ReplyDeleteOh! I bet it looks so cute! Yea, the graph paper layout works so well! I only moved her toddler bed twice until I found the perfect spot in their room!
